Attorney-General nominates Xavier Sosu and others to serve on General Legal Council

Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, has nominated three (3) people to serve on General Legal Council.

This nomination according to the Attorney-General was done with the backing of the law.
“In accordance with Section 1(2) of the Legal Profession Act, 1960 and Paragraph 2(1) (d) of the First Schedule to the said Act, I write to nominate the following persons to the General Legal Council:

1. Honourable Francis Xavier Sosu, MP for Madina.

2. Mrs. Clara Beeri Kasser-Tee, Lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law.

3. Dr. Abdul-Bassit Aziz Bamba, Senior Lecturer, University of Ghana.”

The release further indicated that the President of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama has been duly informed of the nomination.
“His Excellency the President has been duly informed of the nomination of three persons named above.”
