The prices of commodities in Ghana keep increasing from time to time making life difficult for Ghanaians.
Most Ghanaians, especially average living Ghanaians have been the most sufferers in the recent economic challenges.
Reports have confirmed that, country is currently facing high level of inflation, incessant skyrocketing prices of fuel which is affecting all walks of lives.
It is believed that, goods and services have eroded the hardship of many Ghanaians.
Some people have express their grave concern of the excruciating pain of poverty that has been bestowed on the Ghanaian and leaves many with an inauspicious state of affairs.
This current situation has forced the government of Ghana to seek for another bailout from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In view of this, random surveys and sampling of data were carried out to determine the cost of commodities in some parts of the country.
The survey was also extended to the Volta Region of Ghana to check the prices of commodities as against the living conditions of people in the region.
The report, as intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh outlined a total of fifty-five (55) different and commonly used commodities in the Volta Region.
The report also compared average prices of commodities between 2016 and 2022 including price difference.
The data also outlined the percentage increase of the commodities under the year of review.
The tables below are average prices of commodities in the Volta Region for the second quarter of 2022.
