Berla Mundi to host 66th Grammy’s African Nominee Brunch for Second Time

Renowned broadcaster Berla Mundi has been selected as the host for the second time at the 66th Grammy’s African Nominee brunch.
The official side event of the Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on February 3, 2024.
During last year’s edition, Berla Mundi successfully hosted the event, engaging with notable figures such as South Africa’s Nomcebo Zikode and Ghana’s Rocky Dawuni, who were in attendance.
The organizers of this year’s event, GUBA, led by Lady Dentaa Amoateng MBE, have also announced the presence of Nigerian artist Davido, South African Amapiano star Musa Keys, and British-Ghanaian record producer Juls Baby, among other distinguished personalities, who will be attending the event prior to the Grammy night.

Expressing her excitement, Berla Mundi took to Instagram to share her joy at being chosen as the host for this prestigious event for the second time. Responding to GUBA’s Instagram post announcing her as the host, she wrote, “Looking forward to this.”
Several other prominent Ghanaians, including Kojo Soboh (founder of EMY’s), rapper Gambo, and music producer Juls, have also been announced as guests for the upcoming event.
According to Lady Dentaa Amoateng, MBE, the African Nominee Brunch, which will be held at Spring Place in Beverly Hills, promises to be an “unforgettable experience with Berla at the helm.”
In addition to Berla Mundi’s hosting role, several African artists have been nominated for the 66th Grammy Awards. Notable nominees include Burna Boy from Nigeria, who received four nominations across various categories, and Davido, also from Nigeria, who secured three nominations.
Other African artists nominated for the awards include Asake, Olamide, Ayra Starr, and Tyla. The introduction of the Best African Performance category reflects the Recording Academy’s commitment to making the awards process “more fair, transparent, and accurate,” according to the Recording Academy CEO.
