  • Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku was born in Ghana in 1971. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Ghana.
  • He also underwent journalism training at the Ghana Institute of Journalism and pursued further studies, earning an MBA from the University of Liverpool.
  • During his time in the UK, he gained additional knowledge in marketing, hospitality, and tourism management.

  • Before entering football administration, Kurt Okraku worked as a sports journalist and presenter.
  • He was a presenter and sports presenter for Radio Universe 105.7 FM, the campus radio station of the University of Ghana.
  • Additionally,  he served as the public relations officer for Afienya United FC and the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
  • Mr. Okraku also held positions as the Sports Editor for Groove FM and the Deputy Sports Editor at Network Broadcasting Ltd, which owned Radio Gold.

  • He served as the Executive Chairman of Dreams F.C., a club that nurtured talented players like Baba Rahman, who went on to represent Ghana Black Stars and Chelsea F.C.
  • He also held positions on various executive committees of the Ghana Football Association and was involved with the national team, Ghana Black Stars.

  • At the young age of 17, Kurt Okraku established Shooting Stars FC, a colt football club. He also served as the Director of the Jawara Babies Colt Club, emphasizing his commitment to nurturing young talent in Ghana.
  • Also, Kurt Okraku’s passion for football extended beyond administrative roles. He gained experience in sports marketing while working for companies in the UK and Israel.
  • He served as the Communications and Marketing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak S.C. and the administrative manager of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).
  • In 2011, he became the general manager of Wassaman FC.
