In reference to reports available, the kind and caring philanthropist who always describe himself as the “ONLY” Ghanaian Angel of God, has been lashed with two separate charges thus; an “offence of publication of false news and forgery of document contrary to sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other offences Act, 1960 (ACT 29) respectively.”

The police statement issued and signed by the Deputy Superintendent, Head of Public Affairs Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department, Ms. Juliana Obeng suggests that, the suspect, Bishop Dr. Daniel Obinim is also under investigation for other offences leveled against him.

The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service, however entreated the inhabitants of Ghana and the general public to disregard the viral video circulating on social media purported to have been the reason for arresting the popular Angel of God, saying, it has nothing to do with the arrest of Bishop Dr. Daniel Obinim.
