CAGD begins payment of March 2022 salary to Public Sector Workers
Controller and Accountant-General's Department (CAGD)
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has credited the Banks of Public Sector Workers with March 2022 salary.
Coverghana.com.gh confirmed that, some Banks have commenced crediting the individual bank account of Government of Ghana (GoG) workers across the country.
Our sources have revealed that, GCB Bank PLC, Agricultural Development Bank, National Investment Bank (NIB) among others have began crediting banks accounts of workers.
According to reliable sources, Public Sector Workers can proceed to their various banks to withdraw their March salary or use the Bank’s Electronic Banking System to cash their money.
Earlier, Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem, the Controller and Accountant-General has announced that, payment of March 2022 salary will be made on Friday, 25th March, 2022 to Government of Ghana (GoG) workers.
Unfortunately, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government through the Ministry of Finance and the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department could not pay March salary to the Public Sector Workers on the expected date.
Also, the General Secretary of GNAT, Mr. Thomas Musah Tanko has earlier hinted that, CAGD will credit account of government worker on Thursday, 31st March, 2022, while payment will officially commence next week while addressing the concerns of some frustrated teachers in an engagement at Akatsi Senior High Technical School in the Volta Region.
This, according to Mr. Thomas Musah Tanko was the information picked from the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department.
But, with the pressure being mounted on government, due to non-payment of March 2022 salary as announced by CAGD, the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with CAGD have done the needful by crediting banks accounts of Public Sector Workers effective Friday, 1st April, 2022.
