CAGD Directive: Steps to check if you have linked GHANA CARD to CAGD system

As part of ensuring that ghost names are taken off the payroll system, the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) has directed all God employees to merge their Ghana cards with the payroll system.

The directive also has it that “No Ghana Card No Salary”. Employees who fail to go by the will not receive their February 2024 salary among other actions, CAGD added. This step by CAGD is part of their measures to flash out ghost names on the government’s payroll hence, they expect all GoG employees to go by their directive.

Steps to check if you have linked GHANA CARD to CAGD system

Below are the steps to follow and check to know whether your Ghana Card has been linked to the CAGD system as directed:

1. Dial *711*9#

2. Select option 1 “Merge

3. Enter your SSNIT number

4. Enter Ghana Card Number too

5. When successful, you will receive a confirmation message in your email or active phone number

NB: IF NOT MERGED PLEASE DO THAT BEFORE THE FEBRUARY SALARY IS PAID.

Once your GHANA CARD is merged with your SSNIT NUMBER, you are through successfully because CAGD will pick directly from SSNIT.

How to check your merger status

To check your merger status, there are steps to follow.

1. Dial *711*9#

2. Select option 2 “Check merger status

3. Enter SSNIT or Ghana Card Number

4. You will receive an email message confirming your merger status
