Chevening Alumna Ghana inaugurates new Executive Committee for 2025/2026
Accra, Ghana – The Chevening Alumna Ghana (CAG) is proud to announce the inauguration of its newly elected Executive Committee for the 2025/26 term. The ceremony, held at the British High Commissioner’s Residence, marked a significant milestone in the association’s commitment to fostering leadership, collaboration, and national development.
The newly elected executives, comprising distinguished Chevening alumni, bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles. They are poised to drive impactful initiatives that align with the Chevening ethos of building a global network of future leaders.
The 2025/2026 Chevening Alumni Ghana Executive Committee:
-President: Mr. Eugene E. Tornyeavah
– Vice President: Ms. Nadia Teresa Abugah
– General Secretary: Mr. Prosper Dzitse
– Assistant Secretary: Ms. Sabina Morgan
– Organizing Secretary: Ms. Roissa Darko
– Treasurer: Ms. Mary Wetani Agoriwo
– Public Relations Officer (PRO): Mr. Kinglove Adu-Mensah Junior
In his inaugural address, the newly elected President, Mr. Tornyeavah, reaffirmed the committee’s dedication to advancing the goals of the Chevening community in Ghana.
“We are honored to take on this responsibility and are committed to strengthening the bonds within our
network, empowering our members, and contributing to national development through innovative projects and partnerships.”
The event was graced by Mr. Hooman Nouruzi, Head of the Political and Governance Team at the British High Commission, who commended Chevening Alumni Ghana for its continued efforts in promoting excellence and leadership.
During the ceremony, the Chairperson of the event, Mr. Kwasi Okoh, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective action in driving national development. He stated: “As you assume your new roles, I charge you to build upon the foundations laid, to innovate, and to propel our society to even greater heights.”
Chevening Alumni Ghana remains a vibrant community of change-makers, united by their shared experience as beneficiaries of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship. Over the years, the association has spearheaded numerous initiatives in education, entrepreneurship, and social development, leaving an indelible mark on Ghana’s progress.
As the new Executive Committee takes office, the association looks forward to a year of impactful projects, strengthened collaborations, and continued growth.
