The Christian Atsu Educational Centre has been officially opened in Senya Beraku, Central Region, after the successful completion of the orphanage school project.

The late footballer, Christian Atsu, was the visionary man behind the project, but unfortunately, he died before the school could be completed. Atsu, who played for Premier League clubs Chelsea, Everton, and Newcastle, died in February of this year as a result of the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria.

Despite concerns about the school’s fate, Atsu’s former clubs and other generous donors, including Becky’s Foundation, came together to ensure the completion of the project.

The nine-unit school building was designed specifically for orphans in the Senya Beraku district, and its inauguration was attended by local chiefs, community members, and the late footballer’s family and friends.

Atsu was known for his extensive philanthropic work, and the completion of the Christian Atsu Educational Centre is a testament to his dedication to improving the lives of others. The footballer was laid to rest in his hometown of Ada in March.
