Mr. Christopher Kofi Pappoe, a Human Right and Anti-Human Trafficking journalist cum the morning show host at Dela Radio in Adidome has been enstooled as Togbui Dzablu IV – Asafohene or Aʋafia of Kpando Dzewoe in the Akpini Traditional Area of the Kpando Municipality of the Volta Region.
Togbui Dzablu IV coronation took place on Friday, 28th October, 2022 as the Aʋafia of Kpando Dzewoe. Information picked by Coverghana.com.gh disclosed that, he succeeded Togbui Dzablu III, who died two years ago.
Togbui Dzablu IV who was known in real life as Christopher Kofi Pappoe has been playing hide and seek from his elders until he was captured on Friday, 21st October, 2022 on his visit to the community.
He was put in room from 21st October, 2022 to 28th October, 2022 for traditional activities and sacrifices ahead of his coronation on Friday, 28th October, 2022.
In a brief speech during the coronation, Togbui Dzablu IV pledged his allegiance to the elders and people of Kpando Dzewoe.
According to him, he is under oath to serve the people of his community and accepted the challenge however difficult it may be to frontier the Kpando Dzewoe.
Speaking further, he said, these days, every community is craving for development and progress. These virtues thrive in peace and unity, a major reason he accepted the mantle to prioritize a clean environment and development in the area.
Togbui Dzablu IV is therefore appealing to the youth of Kpando Dzewoe to bring all hands on deck so that together they will make Dzewoe the neatest community in the Kpando Municipality and if possible the Volta Region.
Togbui Dzablu IV is grateful to the kingsmakers, the entire Dzablu Royal Clan, the Chiefs and Elders of Dzewoe and the Chiefs and Elders of Atsiafume Division for their support, advices and encouragement during the days of his confinement. “I pledge myself to your service and I hope by the grace of God I will not let you down.”
“Whatever comes your way in life is the making of God and therefore we must be grateful to Him. That is why I am thankful to God for where He has placed me today. It is not by my might or my wisdom or my choice. Any position that you find yourself is a calling from God. Every calling goes with responsibility. I therefore see my present status as a calling from the Almighty God. If God says yes, who am I to say no?” He explained.
“All I ask is that God should give me wisdom and understanding to enable me face the task with diligence, truthfulness and humility. There is more to come once we live together in love, peace and unity.
A Brief Biography of Christopher Kofi pappoe, Togbui Dzablu IV
Christopher Kofi pappoe – Togbui Dzablu IV of Kpando Dzewoe is a Christian and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints.
He later served as a full time missionary for the Church in the South Africa Cape Town Mission.
Christopher Kofi pappoe attended Adidome Senior High School and later went to Cambridge University UK to study Human Resource and Personnel Management and the Evangelical Presbyterian University College to study Development studies.
He is a trained Human Right and Anti- Human Trafficking journalist.
Prior to his enstoolement, he works as the morning show host at Dela Radio in Adidome in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for media Billo, organizers of Miss Agriculture Ghana, Miss Uni International, the Joy model challenge and many more.
The coronation was graced by Member of Parliament for Kpando Constituency Hon.
