Class Action Law Suit to hit MoE and Teacher Unions over TM1 Laptop

A Group of Teachers have instructed their Lawyers to file a class action law suits against the Ministry of Education and the three teacher Unions.

The Class Action law suit to be filed is as a result of the failure of the Ministry of Education and the three teacher Unions to ensure the supply public Primary School teachers in the country with TM1 laptops after an amount of…..was deducted from their pay over a year ago.

According to the teachers who spoke to coverghana but want to remain anonymous so as not to be victimized, the contract duration for the supply of the laptops has elapsed but many teachers have not received their laptops as indicated in the contract which was signed several months ago.

The teachers stated that some of the reliefs they will ask the law court to grant are;

1. That the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education ensures that all teachers are provided with their laptops within 30 days.

OR

2. That the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education ensures that the amount deducted the pay of salaries of teachers is refunded from the salary of teacher is refunded with 300% interest.
