GES gives directive on the use of Capital Grant to conduct end of third Term Examination

The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Dr. Eric Nkansa has written to the various regional directors on the use of Capital Grant to conduct end of third term examination.

The letter signed by Dr. Eric Nkansah to regional directors states that Metro / Municipal / District Offices are not to use more than Fifty Percent (50%) of the year’s Capitation Grants to schools for the conduct of end of third term examination.

“Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) wish to bring to the attention of Regional Directors, payment of Capitation Grants to schools.

Metro/Municipal/District Offices are to use not more than Fifty Percent (50%) of the
amount in conducting the End of Year Examination for their schools.

The remaining amount should be sent to the schools for the running of schools by
Head teachers” the letter signed by Dr. Eric Nkansah stated.

The letter further instructed all regional directors to ensure that same is communicated to other lower level directors.

“Regional Directors of Education are to bring this to the attention of all
Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education.” The letter further stated.
