Cori Dionne “Coco” Gauff is an American professional tennis player. She obtained a world No. 4 singles ranking with the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) on October 24, 2022, and a world No. 1 doubles ranking with them on August 15, 2022.
Gauff has won eight doubles titles—three with Caty McNally and five with Jessica Pegula—in addition to five WTA Tour singles championships, including a WTA 1000 title at the 2023 Cincinnati Masters.
With a victory over seven-time major winner and former world No. 1 Venus Williams in the first round of the 2019 Wimbledon, Gauff gained notoriety. Gauff tried out a number of sports as a child.
