Comboni Hospital, Sogakope closed down temporarily following Akosombo Dam spillage

Ambassador of Italy visits Comboni Training Centre and Richard Novati Catholic Hospital
Information reaching Coverghana.com.gh has confirmed that, the Richard Novati Catholic Hospital/Comboni Hospital, Sogakope in the South Tongu District of the Volta region has been closed down temporarily following Akosombo Dam spillage.
Management of the Hospital together with South Tongu Health Directorate have taken an urgent decision to close the facility.
According to them, all patients will be transfered to the District Hospital, Sogakope while non serious cases will be discharged.
Hospital staffs were also evacuated from the staff bungalows. The flood situation in and around the hospital is getting worse by every minute.
Currently, the facility is not receiving new clients as the spillage from the Akosombo Dam keep spreading wider.
