President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced the final list of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) for his second term.
Earlier, there was a leaked MMDCEs report intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh on some shortlisted applicants from each District, Municipal and Metropolitan across the sixteen (16) administrative regions of Ghana.
Out of the shortlisted applicants forwarded to the office of the president with detailed recommendations, he has made the final nomination pending confirmation by the Assembly Members across the country.
The final nomination came barely a year since the MMDCEs Committee was constituted across the 16 regions for the preliminary vetting to be nominated for the smooth running of the local assemblies.
The final list was unvieled at a press conference by the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Dan Kwaku Botwe.
In announcing the list, Dan Botwe has appealed to Ghanaians especially, members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to maintain calm since President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who is the final determinant has approved the final nominees for confirmation.
