The National Teaching Council (NTC) has finally announced the new pass mark for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) from 50% to 52%.

This news was confirmed by leadership of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) after a meeting with the Sector Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum and the NTC Registrar.

This followed the petition of TTAG to the Minister for Education to intervene in the GTLE pass mark issues, after NTC proposed 70% as the pass mark.

The Association is pleased to inform all Candidates, specially teacher trainees from the 46 Accredited Public Colleges of Education that the NTC BOARD has agreed to marginally revise the pass mark to 52% and candidates.

TTAG thanked the Ministry of Education (MoE), National Teaching Council (NTC), and other relevant stakeholders for their cooperation in the journey of considering an agreeable pass mark for the GTLE.

NTC announced that the 2023 GTLE 2 & 3 results will be released today, Thursday 21, 2023.

All candidates are urged to check their results (after release) from the NTC online portal at exams.ntc.gov.gh by using either their pins given during registration or their examination index numbers and phone numbers.

In addition, the Council said, “Candidates are advised to print their provisional certificates after checking the results.”
