Coronavirus: Bono East Region records new case

According to the Ghana Health Service statistics, the newly created Bono East Region which was curved out from the then Brong Ahafo Region has recorded it’s first case of covid-19.

Since the Coronavirus pandemic hits Ghana, the stakeholders within the region have put strict measures in place to prevent the spread of the disease but unfortunately, a has been recorded.

During a press briefing on Tursday, May 28, 2020, Dr. Badu Sarkodie the Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service stated “Information reaching us just some few minutes ago is that Bono East Region has recorded a case. The details will be brought up based on information that we further pick from the region and then the affected district.”

Information available to Coverghana.com.gh suggests that, the Ghana Health Service (GHS), since then has not received the document on the recorded case. In reference to the new update, Ghana has a total case of 7, 303, with 2,412 recoveries and 34 deaths.
