Counter Directive: NABCO Trainees to proceed on two weeks leave

Management of the Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) has directed Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) trainees to proceed on a two-week leave.

As part of the exit plan of the NABCO program which ends this month, the Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) write to inform all NABCO trainees to proceed on two weeks mandatory leave effective Monday, 1st November, 2021 to 15th November, 2021.

This directive came few hours after the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has directed all NABCO Trainees to remain at post until further notice.

The statement issued by the Sector Commander of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Gloria M. Farmer, Sectional and Unit heads were requested to continue with normal scheduling and supervision for all interns.

Contrary to the Ghana Revenue Authority’s directive, the Ghana Standard Authority has redirected the NABCO trainees to proceed on a two-week leave unabatedly.

According to DOUGLAS NII TEIKO ANNAN of the Ghana Standard Authority, this mandatory leave has become necessary for management in consultation with the National NABCO Secretariat to plan and strategize on retaining trainees for the services of the Authority.

DOUGLAS NII TEIKO ANNAN added that, trainees should note that any feedback that may arise earlier than the said date shall be communicated accordingly.

“We cease this opportunity to wish all trainees a restful leave. Kindly take note and be guided accordingly.”
