On Sunday 31st day,2020 the President of the republic Nana Akufo Addo announced the easing of the measures put in place to help curb and contain the covid-19 pandemic which included the lifting of the restrictions on non-contact sports to resume.
Following this announcement made by H.E Nana Akufo Addo, the Government institution responsible for sports activities in the country, the National Sports Authority has issued an update in which it indicates fourteen (14) sports activities that can resume under the current President’s restrictions.
BELOW IS THE LIST OF NON – CONTACT SPORTS WHICH CAN RESUME
- Athletics.
- Badminton
- Table Tennis
- Â Tennis
- Golf
- Â Power lifting
- Â Weight lifting
- Cycling
- Â Draughts
- Para Sports (individual non-contact para sports)
- Â Rowing and Canoeing
- Â Baseball and softball
- Â Horse racing
- Â Squash
However, all activities with regards to Team, contact sports including football, hockey and volley remain suspended till July 31, 2020. (NO SPECTATORS OR FANS)
