Dagbamate chiefs mourn late Jerry John Rawlings

The chiefs and queen mothers in Dagbamate of the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region have  expressed worries about the demise of the former President Jerry John Rawlings. According to them, since establishment of their Community Dagbamate, the former president Jerry John Rawlings was the only Head of State who visited  them in the community.

During his visit, he also commissioned the only Community Library for the people of Dagbamate.

Speaking to metro news at Dagbamate, the chief and people described the former president, as a hero which the people of Ghana can’t replace.

They said Volta region and Anlo state have lost a vessel. The chief added that, during the commissioning of their Community Library, the Late president  Rawlings promise the community  with Good Road Network amongst others.

The Queen mother of Dagbamate Mamaga Adzorhlor also  supported the move of the Family that, the Late president’s body be brought  to Anlo so that  his burial place can be use as Tourist Attraction in the volta Region.

They also send their sympathy to the Children and entire family of the former president.
