Date to release 2022 BECE results for School Candidates disclosed – Check

The Ministry of Education’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Kwasi Kwateng has disclosed the agreed date to release the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in an interview.

Speaking at an interview on Television, the PRO of the Ministry of Education (MoE) let it out that the much anticipated BECE results will be out by 19th January, 2023.

He said, their checks with WAEC show that by 19th January, 2023 results will be out.

In addition, he explained that the 2022 BECE placement will be done very early this year, 2023.

“I said initially, it is supposed to be done in March 2023 but they have revised the date and finally decided on next month, February 2022 for the BECE placement.” He clarifies.

Mr. Kwasi Kwateng made it clear further that the change in the month for BECE placement was necessary because students must go to school early.

According to the guiding rules of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), BECE results are supposed to be released after ninety (90) days of sitting for the last paper.

Per calculation, 2022 BECE came to an end on 21st October 2022 which means that 90 days from the date they wrote the last paper is 19th January, 2023.
