Didier Drogba is the new head coach of the national team of Ivory Coast

Didier Drogba has signed a four year contract as the new head coach of the national team of Ivory Coast.

The objectives of the contract are;

1. Winning the next two Africa cup of the nations ( 2024 and 2025 ) for Ivory Coast.

2. Leading Ivory coast to win the 2026 world cup Ivory Coast.

It’s the first experience for Didier Drogba in his coaching career as a coach after getting the UEFA PRO license .

” It’s a pleasure for me to back in Africa and starting my coaching career with my country, i talked with Yaya Touré to join me as an assistant coach and i’m waiting his decision, maybe he will accept to join me “. Didier Drogba said.

” The president of the country sir Alassane Ouattara wants to see Ivory Coast players holding the 2026 world cup title, I will be expelled from my country definitely and my nationality will be withdrawn from me if I do not achieve this goal ” – Said Drogba in the press conference.
