Donald Glover, better known by his stage name Childish Gambino, is an American actor, writer, singer, comedian, and film producer.
Glover gained his high school education at DeKalb School of the Arts and Lakeside High School. He then pursued a degree in dramatic writing at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he eventually graduated in 2006.
While still a student at Tisch, he self-produced the unofficial mixtape The Younger I Get, which Glover later dissed as having the too-raw ranting of an aged Drake. He started DJing and making electronic music under the alias mcDJ (previously MC D), remixing the Sufjan Stevens album Illinois.
After graduating from New York University and starting a job with Derrick Comedy, Donald Glover was hired at the age of 23 to write for the NBC sitcom 30 Rock. Tina Fey then hired him to write for the show.
