The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has cautioned the general public from taking loans from nineteen (19) unlicensed financial institutions.

In a statement, the Bank of Ghana (BoG) said, they have observed that some unlicensed financial institutions are giving loans to Ghanaians without following the right procedures which will warrant their lawful operations in the country.

The unlicensed entities are operating on the blind side of the Central Bank’s Specialised Deposit-Taking Institution Act, 2016 (Act 930).

Bank of Ghana validation has disclosed that the said entities employ the work of mobile apps in their operations including social media in carrying out their businesses.

Bank of Ghana assured the public that they are taking the right steps to deal with such institutions, hence advised the general populace to stay away from the listed unlicensed/illegal loan providers.

Below are the 19 unlicensed financial institutions you must nut take loans from.
