The Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency and the deputy minister of health Dr. Benard Oko-Boye has donated a tricycle to one of his constituents.
Dr. Benard Oko-Boye giving out out the tricycle said “jobs are being stressed by the COVID-19 pandemic across the world so he is so delighted to make the donation because it will help undertake activities that would bring in some returns and in the process preserve lives.”
“Giving out hand sanitizers and face masks is okay; equally important is the provision of TOOLS FOR WORK. He added.
Dr. Benard Oko-Boye who was recently appointed by President Nana Akufo Addo as a deputy minister for health for his expertise public health has ever since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana donated many Personal Protection Equipment ranging from hand sanitizers, face masks, Veronica buckets and temperature guns.
He has donated his salary for
the month of March worth GHs10,000
as well as other items to the Teshie
Community Clinic to aid in the fight
against COVID-19 in his constituency.
The amount he donated according him is to be used as an incentive for medical and allied staff who are at the front line in combatting the virus at the clinic.
