The 7th Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a famous banker and an economist who also once severed as a deputy governor of the Central Bank of Ghana.
Dr. Bawumia assumed office as the Vice President of the country on 7th January, 2017 after the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, NPP assumed office.
Dr. Bawumia has a good reputation working at the Emile Woolf College of Accountancy in London, England where he taught Monetary Economics.
Dr. Bawumia proceeded to served as an economist at the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC, USA.
Dr. Bawumia in his term as the head of Ghana’s economic management team has become known for the strives he is making in digitalizing the country’s economy.
