Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh Donates 10,000 Energy Saving Bulbs and 613 Led Streetlight to constituents

The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency and the Education Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has donated to his constituents.

The lawmaker on Sunday 19th September, 2020 made a donation of Energy Saving Bulbs and Led Streetlights to the six electoral areas within the Manhyia South Constituency.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh donated 10,000 pieces of Energy Saving Bulbs and 613 Led Streetlights which is to be distributed among the six electoral areas in the Constituency; Afia Kobi, CPC, KO, Odumase, Manhyia Proper and Dichemso Electoral Areas.

In a Facebook post after the donation, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh wrote;

I presented 10,000 pieces of Energy Saving Bulbs and 613 Led Streetlights to the six electoral areas in the Manhyia South Constituency during a short and colourful ceremony at Abbey’s Park, this morning.

 

The streetlights would be evenly distributed to the Afia Kobi, CPC, KO, Odumase, Manhyia Proper and Dichemso Electoral Areas to help beautify and illumine the constituency at night to prevent the commissioning of crime.

 

In my succinct remarks, I urged the people to vote massively on December 7 to retain the NPP in political office for four more years in order for President Nana Akufo-Addo to work and maximise the developmental gains, chalked so far.

 

Osei Assibey Antwi, the Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), who received the items on behalf of the Assemblymen in the constituency, stressed the need for the NPP government to be retained in office so the country would remain on the path to prosperity.

 

Haruna Alhassan, the Manhyia South Sub-Metro Chairman, said all the 106 polling stations in the constituency will benefit from the largesse, and said the timely donation will help reduce reported cases of crime in the constituency.
