Dr. Okoe Boye falls flat as Benjamin Ayiku Narteh snatches Ledzokuku seat

The Deputy Minister of Health and the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku constituency, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye has lost his seat in the December 2020 Parliamentary Polls.

The popular Member of Parliament who confidently articulate on the floor of Parliament has been defeated by the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Benjamin Ayiku Narteh in 2020 general elections.

Mr. Benjamin Ayiku Narteh has won the Ledzokuku constituency seat with a total of 55,938 votes where the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate, Dr. Okoe Boye had 54,072 total valid votes.

The Ledzokuku Parliamentary Results declared by the Electoral Commission’s Constituency Returning Officer has given the following breakdown.

NPP: 54,072

NDC: 55,938

GUM: 674

NDP: 137

Total Valid Votes: 110,821

Total Rejected Ballots: 766

Total Votes Cast: 111,587

It rather a sad moment for the Ledzokuku constituency Member of Parliament Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye who is very determined to retain his seat for the second term as the MP.

The statistics shows that, Lord Adjetey Doku who represent the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) managed his ways out to get a total valid votes of 674 votes and 137 votes for the National Democratic Party’s (NDP).
