Dzikunu Nelson Armstrong who is a student of Jireh International School located at Ashaiman wins this year’s maiden edition of the Citi TV and FM’s “The Literacy Challenge”
“The Literacy Challenge” is an educative annual competition that seems to harness and showcase the talent of students of Junior High Schools who are poised with creative literacy skills.
The competition was initiated in 2017 and has been lively, impactful and interesting till date. The competition has been structured in three different levels,

Level One
At this initial level students are expected to showcase their essay writing ability skills by writing an interesting essay on a given topic.
Level Two
This stage is also known as the Aptitude Test Stage where top 50 students in the country are expected to undergo the Aptitude Test in order to sieve and select the best 10 students out of them to proceed to the final stage of the competition.
Level Three

Here is the main quiz competition where students are expected to answer different set of questions in respective rounds to win the ultimate prize of GH¢10,000.00.
In this year’s maiden edition of the final quiz competition, the ten student’s intellect in social studies, reasoning, and literature was tested by answering questions in the first round where kotei Adei Alberta from Ofaakor M/A Basic D JHS topped with 34 points.
The second round was arithmetic calculations where three students tired with 11 points each.
The third round featured the knowledge on science concepts where Mireku Patrick Oscar Manuel also topped with ten points.
At the fourth and final round of the Competition which featured science challenge by Dext Technology kotei Adel Alberta and Adiel Akosua Agyaka Safo tied with 65 points .
After summing up all the scores in the respective rounds, Dzikunu Nelson Armstrong emerged as this year’s winner of the competition with GH¢10,000.00 and other awards from the sponsors of the program.
