The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) has rolled out an enhanced ECG PowerApp, which will allow customers to do cashless business with the company anytime and anywhere. This move is in line with global trends towards digitization and cashless transactions.
Benefits of ECG PowerApp
The ECG PowerApp comes with a host of benefits for customers. The ECG PowerApp;
- allows credit top-up for smart prepayment meters
- accepts payment from Mobile Money wallets, Visa, and Mastercard for ECG transactions
- generates bank invoices for payment
- serves as a platform for reporting and resolving issues
- accepts payment for all invoices generated by ECG
- refunds challenged top-ups
- provides a history of payment transactions and consumption information, and
- provides notifications and alerts from ECG.

The ECG PowerApp is a convenient, safe, and secure platform for use 24/7. Customers can download the app from the Google Play Store or App Store. For customers with non-smart phones, they can dial *226# to access the ECG PowerApp for all transactions.
