Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah is a Ghanaian politician and a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He is one of the experienced personalities of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Elvis Afriyie Ankrah mother hailed from Atiavi, near Keta, in the Volta Region and his father was from Ahenema Kokoben, that is located in the Ashanti Region.

• Elvis Afriyie Ankrah attended Okwapeman Secondary School, graduating in 1984 with the GCE Ordinary Level.

• He also attended the London College of Computing and Electronics where he obtained a certificate in Business and Administrative Computing in 1986.

• His sixth form education was at the Winneba Secondary School in the Central Region of Ghana where he attained the GCE Advanced Level in 1988.

• Elvis Afriyie Ankrah attended the University of Ghana between 1992 and 1996 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in English, Drama and Linguistics.

• He was also a postgraduate student of the same university, obtaining the Master of Arts degree in International Affairs from the Legon Centre for International Affairs in 2002.

• He is a graduate of the Ghana Institute of Journalism which he completed in 1998.

• He received a certificate in Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising there.

Elvis Afriyie Ankrah Leadership and Political Career 

Elvis Afriyie Ankrah was the Deputy Campaign Spokesperson for the late Prof. Atta Mills as a Presidential candidate for NDC primaries in 2002.

He was tasked as a Deputy Campaign Manager for Prof. Atta Mills Campaign in 2004 Presidential elections

Elvis Afriyie Ankrah was elected Deputy General Secretary in charge of Operations in 2005.

He has successfully managed and coordinated two (2) Presidential Campaigns in 2008 and 2012 respectively.

In 2008 General Elections, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah was the Deputy General Secretary (Operations)/ Deputy Campaign Manager as NDC won that elections and Prof. Evans Atta Mills became President.

In 2012 General Elections, he was appointed Campaign Coordinator in September 2012 – (three months) to the General Elections after the death of President Mills. With a short period of time, he strategically coordinated the Campaign and NDC won the elections and John Dramani Mahama became President.

Elvis Afriyie Ankrah is Bold, Fearless & leadership sills with vision, tenacity and deliverables.

He is said to have the strategic capabilities to get the NDC back to the Presidential Seat of Power as well as the Legislative Majoirty.

As a Deputy Minister of Local Government And Rural Development, he was very instrumental in the creation of forty five (45) additional constituencies across the country, prior to the 2012 elections.

Elvis Afriyie Ankrah serves as the Elections Director of NDC in the 2020 general elections.

He understands the Party Structures very well and has extensive Institutional Memory of Ghana’s Electoral Process & Systems.

He’s Affable, honest, compassionate, Strong Morale Principles & Religious Values, Great Communication Skills with diverse local dialects, excellent human relations with the rank and file of the Party to foster unity leading up to the crucial 2024 General Elections.
