Henry “Enrique” Tarrio is a convicted felon, prisoner, and far-right activist from the United States. From 2018 until 2021, he was the chairman of the Proud Boys, a far-right neo-fascist organization in the United States that encourages and engages in political violence.
Tarrio, along with three other Proud Boys commanders, was convicted of seditious conspiracy in May 2023 for his role in the 2021 United States Capitol attack. Tarrio was sentenced to 22 years in jail in September 2023.
Tarrio, who is of Afro-Cuban descent, served as the state director of the grassroots organization Latinos for Trump in Florida. Tarrio ran in the Republican primary election for Florida’s 27th congressional district in 2020 but dropped out. Tarrio served as an informant to both federal and local law enforcement from 2012 to 2014, according to a former federal prosecutor and transcripts of a 2014 federal court case.
