EOCO warns Ghanaians as more online businesses emerge

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has warned Ghanaians of some emerging online businesses.

According to EOCO, Royal Gardens Network and Hubtel Mobile Money Lending are both not registered and does not have the permission to operate as online investment companies.

EOCO further indicated that, the modus operandi of these companies have been found to be that, they entice victims to invest in the companies while promising them high returns.

EOCO, cautioned the general public to desist from investing and patronizing them.

Royal Gardens Network and Hubtel Mobile Money Lending are said to be operating through Mobile Money and WhatsApp platforms. Once they defraud their victims, they immediately close and delete the WhatsApp group. A different group is subsequently created with new members and the cycle continues.
