GES 2023/2024 Basic school academic year calendar
The 2023/2024 academic year calendar for KG/Primary and JHS has been released.
According to the calendar, learners will be in school for thirty-nine (39) weeks.
First Term duration
The first term in the 2023/2024 academic year has twelve (12) weeks.
Learners stayed in school from 3rd October 2023 to 22nd December 2023.
Vacation date
Vacation for the first term starts on the 23rd of December 2023 through to the 8th of January 2023.
Second Term duration
The second term in the 2023/2024 academic year has fourteen (14) weeks.
Learners will stay in school from 9th January 2024 to 11th April 2024.
Vacation date
Vacation for the second term starts on the 12th of April 2024 through to the 29th of April 2024.
Third Term duration
The third term in the 2023/2024 academic year has thirteen (13) weeks.
Learners will stay in school from 30th April 2024 to 25th July 2024.
- NB: BECE according to the calendar is slated for July 2024.
Vacation date
The 2023/2024 academic year will end in July 2024. The next academic year, 2024/2025 will start in September 2024.
