On 6th March, 2023, Ghanaians across the country celebrated the 66th Independence Day anniversary of the country with a Parade.
During the independence day parade, Garu District Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Philip Fredrick Alale, collapsed according to reports from myjoyonline.
Mr. Philip Fredrick Alale reportedly collapsed while he was standing on the dais with other dignitaries who were present.

Adom News’ Halidas Dasmani reports that Mr Alale stood in the scorching sun for hours and it is believed that might have resulted in his fainting.
The Ghana Education Service District Director was quickly rushed to a nearby health facility in a pick up truck.
