Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has finally launched its revolutionary platform, the Ghana Education Service Management Information System (GESMIS), meant to modernize education management in Ghana.

What is GESMIS?

GESMIS is a comprehensive platform developed by the Ghana Education Service to manage data and digitize internal processes for efficient service delivery. It is built with the vision to modernize education management in Ghana.

GESMIS GOALS

• Consolidate all critical GES data onto one platform for credible data management.
•  Digitize internal processes for efficient and seamless service delivery.
• Provide easy and quick access to credible data.

• All Teaching Staff of the Ghana Education Service

GESMIS collects and manages data on learners with unique learner identification number

Classrooms, wash facilities, accommodation, offices, and furniture data are collected and analysed by GESMIS

• LEARNING PROGRESS

GESMIS tracks the learning progress of learners to quickly identify the gaps

The system tracks the performance of every teacher with regards to attendance, output of work, etc.

How to be on-boarded on GESMIS

BASIC SCHOOLS

Basic Schools use the GESMIS App to onboard staff, students and all required datasets. The completed data is then synced to the portal.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS

Each staff member receives an SMS containing their unique username and password. The head of the institution initiates this process to allow staff to login and complete their personal profiles

DISTRICT & REGIONAL STAFF

Each staff will receive an SMS containing their username and password to login and complete their personal profiles.

HEADQUARTER STAFF

Each staff member receives an SMS containing their unique username and password. The head of the institution initiates this process
