GFA in mess: Lawyer Ankomah declines to serve on Committee searching for new Black Star Coach

Lawyer Ace Ankomah has declined the call to serve on the GFA’s formed five-member Committee to search for a new Black Stars coach.

After dismissing the service of the Head coach and the Technical team of the National team, Black Stars following the abysmal performance at the 2023 AFCON, Ghana FA formed a five-member Committee to search for a new Head coach.

The search committee is composed of key figures within the football landscape, including GFA Vice President Mark Addo (Chair), legal practitioner Ace Ankomah (vice chair), Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, Director of Coaching Education at the GFA, Ghanaian football legend Opoku Nti, and William Caesar Kartey, Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

However, in a new development, our news desk has been informed that the legal practitioner Ace Ankomah (vice chair) selected for the committee has declined the call.

“I have personally called on the President of Ghana to dissolve that Committee, halt the search, and instruct his minister and the GFA to first, render an apology to the people of Ghana.”

“Submit technical and management report, their budget, and investigate the causes of the disaster in Abidjan.”

“Good that Lawyer Ace has been honourable enough to decline. The other members must decline in their own interest.”

“The chairman of that committee himself is not fit for purpose,” Saddick Adams, Ghanaian Broadcast Journalist.
