The world has eyes in one location at the moment, Qatar, the country that is hosting the FIFA World Cup tournament 2022. The organization in charge of this competition is FIFA, the official federation in charge of football in the World.

 After the Portugal Vs Ghana match on 24th November, 2022 a lot of people including the Ghana Football Association have joined in the ongoing commentary around the world following Ghana’s defeat saying the officiating went wrong.

Football enthusiasts and lots of sports analysts both locally and internationally have also made their observations and criticisms on the referee’s penalty decision as unfair to the Ghanaian side.

The Ghana Football Association has also followed up with an official petition to FIFA about the conduct of the United States referee, Ismail Elfath who officiated the match after his key decisions which included a penalty that was awarded to Portugal and failure to check VAR which cost the Black Stars points in their World Cup opener.
