Ghana’s 1992 constitution is not a problem; leadership has it – Suhuyini Alhassan

Hon. Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North says Ghana’s 1992 constitution is not the problem but leadership is rather the main problem facing the country at large.
Speaking in an interview, the MP went further drawing a line in his declaration saying that the 1992 constitution is not a perfect document hence it needs some amendments but it is not the main problem of the country.
According to Alhassan S. Suhuyini, persons serving in government are the main problem the country is facing mostly.
To vindicate, he sighted the incident that occurred in Parliament about the vote of censure for Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta where the Majority Members staged a walkout while voting was in progress.
“I think to a very large extent, that it lies with the individuals that we put in charge of implementing provisions that are outlined in the Constitution,” he said.
He believes that, even if they amend some parts of the 1992 Constitution, the problem will stand still unattended hence, he calls on all citizens to make the right choice when selecting persons willing to serve the nation.
The Constitution has its shortfalls but leadership tops it all. Ghanaians must be vigilant when it is time to vote who leads them for good, implement the right laws, and work diligently for humanity.
