Information picked by Coverghana.com.gh suggest that, management of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) has declined the request for a re-print of lost certificates for graduates of the University.

An alumnus of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) known as BigGodwin Martey, who completed his PostGraduate in Management Information Systems in 2009 has complained bitterly about his inability to get a re-print of his certificate from the institution after he lost the original copy.

According to the aggrieved alumnus, he lost the certificate not out of carelessness but to the flooding in Accra during the June 3rd flood of 2015.

He said “I went to the School last week to request a re-print of the certificate at any fee, the school said they never reprint a Certificate for any alumnus, they can only give an attestation letter or transcript.”

He used the opportunity to suggest that  tertiary institutions in Ghana should adopt the “reprinting of certificates” idea because it is another good way of making revenue for the institution since loss of documents such as traveling passports and certificates happen all the time, to fire, theft, flood, or other unforeseen occurrences.”
