ECG: Court issues bench warrant to arrest 4 suspects for stealing and illegal connection

The Accra High Court in the Greater Accra region of Ghana on Saturday, 27th August, 2022 has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of four (4) suspects who were allegedly involved in illegal electrical connection and also deliberately failed to appear before the court.

The four (4) suspects whose bench warrants for arrest were issued are:

1 Kwesi Foster Etah

2. David Nkrumah

3. Toklo Enock and

 4. Sai Agoe Joseph.

According to the notice, these suspects failed to show up in the court for the commencement of their trial after they had been caught engaging in some illegal electrical connections.

All four of them were also charged with other offenses such as stealing of some ECG’s electricity cables and intentionally interfering with the Electricity Company of Ghana’s energy and distribution system.

The commencement of their trial has been adjourned to 10th September, 2022 by the judge, His Lordship Samuel Bright Acquah following their deliberate inability to show up before the court.
