The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for admission into various diploma, bachelor’s, postgraduate certificate, and master’s degree programs. Prospective applicants are invited to apply and pursue their academic goals at GIMPA.

Offering Options:

GIMPA offers flexible options for graduate programs, including modular, evening, and weekend offerings. These programs are available in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, and Tema. Evening offerings may include lectures on Saturdays, while the weekend options may begin on Friday evenings. All undergraduate programs are available in both day and evening options in Accra.

General Entry Requirements for Master Programs:

Applicants must hold at least a Second Class Lower Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Specific requirements apply to certain programs such as MSc. ICT, IT & Law, and Digital Forensics, where the bachelor’s degree should be in an IT/Computer Science related field. For business programs, applicants with a Third Class or Pass may be considered if they hold a GIMPA Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration. Additionally, applicants with chartered professional qualifications such as ACCA, ICA, ICSA, GIPS, CIB, along with three years of post-qualification experience, may also apply. The equivalencies of professional certificates should be determined by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

Bachelor and Diploma Programs:

1.0 School of Technology: 1.1 Degree Programs:

• BSc. Computer Science
• BSc. Information and Communication Technology

1.2 Diploma Programs:

• Diploma in Applied Computer Science: A 2-year program offered at the Greenhill Campus as a Day program.

2.0 Faculty of Law:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Post First Degree Applicants ONLY

3.0 School of Public Service and Governance:

• Bachelor of Science in Public Administration

General Entry Requirements for Bachelor Programs:

• WASSCE/SSCE/GBCE Candidates: Applicants must have credit passes (A1-C6) or (A-D) in six subjects, including English language and Mathematics, with three core subjects and three relevant elective subjects. To pursue Computer Science, Physics or Elective Mathematics (Grade D or C6) is required.
• GCE “A” Level Candidates: Passes in three GCE “A” Level subjects (at least one with a Grade “D” or better) and five GCE “O” Level credit passes (Grades 1-6), including English Language and Mathematics. Physics or Elective Mathematics (Grade D or C6) is required to pursue Computer Science.
• Higher National Diploma (Top-Up) Applicants: HND candidates may be admitted to first degree programs at Level 200 or 300 based on program relevance. Applicants must have graduated with a good HND certificate (at least second-class lower division). Other diploma qualifications equivalent to HND, as determined by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), will also be considered.
• Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Applicants: Full Diploma in ABCE is required. Applicants should have credit passes (WASSCE: A1-C6) or (SSSCE/GBCE: A-D) in five subjects, including English language and Mathematics, with two relevant elective subjects. Physics or Elective Mathematics (Grade D or C6) is required to pursue Computer Science. ABCE applicants may be considered at Level 200 of a degree program.
• Mature Applicants: Mature applicants can apply through GIMPA’s Mature Program. To be eligible, applicants must be at least 25 years old, have completed SSS/SHS or an equivalent program, possess proof of age issued no more than 5 years prior to the application date, complete the undergraduate application form, and pass the GIMPA Mature Program. Upon passing the Mature program, applicants are directly enrolled in the chosen Bachelor’s Degree program.
