The management of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has explained the reason for the error in the deduction of GNAT dues for January 2024.

The notice from GNAT dates 26th January 2024. It was signed by Mr. Isaac Baah (Head of the Compensation and Benefits Department) for: General Secretary.

GNAT in the official notice on the subject stated that the dues for January 2024 encountered some technical challenges at the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department, and as a result, the figure was reduced to Four Ghana Cedis and Eighty-Seven Pessewas (GHS 4.87).

Further, they promised the best action to solve the issue. “We are by this letter informing all our members that it was an error and will be corrected and restored based on the new salary level for the month of February 2024 with the arrears.”

“Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.”
