GNAT introduces a witness and guarantor system for loan request
Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has introduced a witness and guarantor system for loan requests.
GNAT Witness and Guarantor System for Loans
- One witness is required for loan requests up to GH¢10,000.
- For loans exceeding GH¢10,000, members need at least one guarantor who:
a. Must be a registered and active fund member with a minimum six (6) months contribution.
b. Can guarantee a maximum of two qualified loan applicants simultaneously.
c. Must provide a color copy of the Ghana Card (Front and Back) for authenticity verification.
d. Should have an active service period not shorter than the loan duration.

Effective Date of Witness and Guarantor System for GNAT Teachers Fund
The effective date for the Witness and Guarantor System for GNAT Teachers Fund according to the leadership of the Fund is February 2024.

Required Amount for Witness and Guarantor
One witness will be required for loan requests up to GH¢10,000.00.
Above GH¢10,000.00 a guarantor will be required.
