The Price of fuel in the country have been reduced by eight Ghana pesewas effective 5th May, 2021.

According to a communique issued by the National Petroleum Authority, the Minister in charge of Energy, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh held a meeting with stake holders in the petroleum sector today 4th may, 2021 concerning the pricing of fuel in the country.

During the meeting, it was agreed that “The 17 pesewas per litre increase in fuel margins previously announced by the National Petroleum Authority has been reduced to 9 pesewas per litre effective tomorrow Wednesday 5h May 2021”

Present at the meeting where the decision was taken to reduce the price of fuel by eight Ghana pesewas were;

  • National Petroleum Authority (NPA),
  • Association of Oll Marketing
    Companies (AOMCS),
  • Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Co Ltd (BOST),
  • Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), the Institute for Energy Policies and Research (INSTEPR),
