GTEC lists 160 Study Centres as unaccredited centres for studies

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has announced and listed one hundred and sixty (160) Study Centres used by the University of Cape Coast (UCC), University for Development Studies (UDS), and University of Education, Winneba (UEW) to run academic programmes as unaccredited Study Centres.

The management of GTEC shared this update to the public, especially parents/guardians and prospective students in order to take note of before risking it all.

“As a result, applicants who pursue programmes at these CENTRES do so at their own risk,” GTEC stressed.

“GTEC will not recognise academic credentials awarded to students who enrolled with the UCC, UDS or UEW for the 2024/2025 academic year and studied at these unaccredited centres.”

Adding, GTEC stated that “The public is hereby advised to take note of this important information.”
