The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has underscored the need for peace in the upcoming 2020 general elections in Ghana.
According to the Vice Presidential Candidate of the NDC, healthy competition is essential to democracy but that must not lead to blood shed. He again said, that is the only sure way any country can achieve immense success in terms of development.

Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang said this while addressing the Paramount chief of Bekwai, Oyeadieyie Kwadwo Armah Basape III and his people as part of day 2 activities of her 4 day campaign tour of the Western North region.
Madam Opoku-Agyemang, whiles requesting for the guidance, advice and blessings of the traditional rulers, she called on the people to set good examples for the youth as they are the back bone of the nation’s future.

She highlighted that, as a farming community, insults and conflicts will not increase their yields hence they must focus and associate with a party that has plans that will enhance their livelihoods and the country’s economy at large.
She indicated her flagbearer’s vision of ‘Big Push’ has a strong foundation that will create jobs for the youth hence all must be part of the process towards its realisation.
