Hold Roads minister responsible for bad roads and not MPs

Hon. Samuel Nartey George Hon. Samuel Nartey George has questioned persons naming persons naming and shaming their Members of Parliament about their poor roads.

Ghanaians are currently using the harshtag #NameAndShame to hold their Members accountable for under-development in their communities.

However, reacting to the #NameAndShame campaign, Hon. Samuel Nartey George said that the job of a Member of Parliament is not to fix roads but to lobby the Minister to get roads fixed.

The Nimgo-Prampram lawmaker further added that, if Citizens have any problems with their roads, the best person to talk to is the Minister for Roads and Highways because he is responsible for roads in the country.

In a tweet, Hon. Samuel Nartey George said;

“Asking an MP to get roads fixed? For real? The #NameAndShame campaign must be backed by basic knowledge. My job is to lobby but you have a Minister for Roads & Highways. If you have any bile, spit it at him for that is his job. I have lobbied. He has failed. Hold him responsible.“
