Hon. Betty Krosbi donates to Health, Education and Agric Sectors in Kwahu Afram Plains North District
Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah presents hospital, educational and Agric equipment to Kwahu Afram Plains North District
The Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North has presented hospital, educational and agricultural equipment to three major sectors in her constituency.
According to Betty Krosbi Mensah, her office as the Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North in collaboration with her donor partners; Sinkunia Community Development Organization, Emmanuel Foundation, and YEG Rotary Club all of Alberta Canada donated some Hospital, Educational and Agricultural equipments to the Kwahu Afram Plains North District.

She explained that, this is a further manifestation of her commitment as the Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North to re-tool and re-equip the District Health, Education and Agricultural sector to enable them perform their duties without restrain.
The presentation was made on Sunday, 12 June 2022 by the MP and her partners at short but colourful ceremony.

Equipment donated to the health sector
The items donated to the health sector include, 2 Incubators, 2 Theatre Beds, 3 Delivery Beds, 12 Electronic and Manual beds, 16 hospital mattresses, 200 pieces of hospital aprons, 100 pieces of Nose masks, 20 wheelchairs, 30 walking sticks and clutches, 50 packs of diapers for adults and a Baby’s Court were donated to the District Health Directorate and the Donkorkrom Presbyterian Hospital.

Items donated to the education sector
Additionally, 1,200 branded exercises books, 1,000 story books, 500 Dual Desks, 100 Teachers’ Tables and Chairs were made available to the Ghana Education Service.
Items donated to the agricultural sector
The Member of Parliament has also presented a total of 150 Bicycles and 5 Corn and Cassava mill machines to benefit farmers especially mother’s who travel long distances to get their corn and cassava milled.
Source of funding
According to Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah, financing for these items was a collaborative effort from her Office as the Member of Parliament and three (3) NGOs in Canada called Sikunia Community Development, YEG Rotary Club Edmonton and Emmanuel Foundation all in Canada.
Speaking at the ceremony, the MP used the opportunity to thank some special invitees including Guest Speaker – Hon. Alexander Gabby Hottordze Member of Parliament (Central Tongu) and Baba Jamal Konneh – NDC Regional Elections Director for their presence and immense support towards a successful programme.

She also expressed special thanks to Mr. Francis Apungu – District Director of Ghana Health Service, District Director of the Ghana Education Service Mr. Solomon Azubila Akorunko, Mr. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi – General Manager of Donkorkrom Presby Hospital, Prophet Caleb Daribi – President of the Local Council of Churches and his team of Pastors, District Chief Imam Alhaji Osman Fuseini, Nana Okai Kwaku Nkansah II – Kontihene of Donkorkrom and Chiefs from Kwaekese, Atakora, Asikesu for gracing the occasion.
