The Member of Parliament for the Afram Plains North Constituency, Hon. Betty Krosby Mensah has cut sod for the construction of two 3 Unit Classroom Blocks with offices.
The event, which took place over the weekend is expected to provide Salepe and Avukope communities, all in the Afram Plains North with classrooms.
The Member of Parliament, recently lamented on the floor of Parliament over the refusal of teachers to accept posting to the District.
There are currently less than 80 basic schools in the District, with majority being in the main land.
Betty has also initiated the construction of 17 pavilions to bridge the gap of infrastructure deficit in the District.
The construction of the 3 Unit Classroom Blocks with offices is expected to be completed before 2024 with funding from the MP’s share of GETFUND.
